By one measurement, Apple’s quality of patents issued makes it number 1 in electronics

Spectrum ieee’s 2010 Patent Power Scorecards are out, and, no surprise, Apple has moved to #1 in consumer electronics, moving past Hitachi, Panasonic, Canon and Sony. This ranking is attributable more to the quality of Apple patents than the sheer number of patents.  See all the patent scorecards here.
